Ticketcounter has committed itself this year as a sponsor partner to Rescue Vlissingen, the largest rescue event in the Netherlands. The biennial event, after being postponed for two years due to the Corona pandemic, will finally host its 12th edition on August 17, 2022. In 2018, more than 100,000 visitors came to the day full of activities and demonstrations, where aid organizations can show the general public why they are so important to our society.
Spokesperson Dennis van Castel of Rescue Vlissingen: "Seeing and experiencing are essential components of Rescue Vlissingen. This is to make our visitors more aware of the 'heavy' work of an emergency worker. We are delighted that with a packed program we can again introduce visitors to the emergency services in the broadest sense of the word."
Largest rescue event in the Netherlands
What once started as a rescue demonstration for residents of the Vlissingen boulevard has now grown into a major event with international appeal. During the 11th edition, the organisation welcomed 180 relief organisations from no fewer than 6 countries. Visitors could marvel at the hundreds of emergency vehicles, push their limits on a climbing tower with a parachute jump or feast their eyes on the large demo showing the cooperation and working methods of the various emergency services. And the 12th edition promises to be even more spectacular.
Unique view of the event
New to the program is a one-and-a-half-hour tour of the event area, during which visitors can enjoy the various shows and demonstrations from the water. In this way, visitors have the opportunity to experience everything from a unique angle. Ticketcounter has made the online shop for ticket sales available to the organization of Rescue Vlissingen.
